Producer’s Showcase
In August, Alabama cast members joined forces with Connecticut cast members to present a Producer’s Showcase of the show. For ten days, the cast, crew, staff and creators workshopped the show in Bristol, CT. “It was an amazing experience,” said creator Darren Butler. “The end product moved the show closer to where Judy and I want it to be.”
What’s next? The creators are hoping a major production company will pick up the show and continue the workshopping process. “It’s in great shape for groups to license and produce right now, but if it has a shot for New York or a national tour, I think another round of tweaking is in order. We hope that groups will license the show and give us feedback from their cast and audience.”
